As the title suggests, and as the line of emcees have a reputation for, this brazen, in your face, posse-cut BANGER is a direct hit. Weapon E.S.P is becoming a household name (better late than never) as he continues to serve up verbal darts that hit you right between the eyes. I spoke with Weapon E.S.P about a year or so ago (after Savageland dropped and took over the airwaves!) about wanting a posse cut. In short, he promised me one and so we fast forward to now and ‘Bullseye Scores‘ from Weap’s upcoming album ‘Mr. Automatic‘.
Before we get into the bars, let’s talk about that beat. Produced by Reese Tanaka, we’ve got a hard, dusty, grimy joint that is rugged and well suited to the Genosha Generals and affiliate Estee Nack. It’s actually quite an intricate soundscape with its heavy drums, warbled synth, and high key loop. Then we get GOTM, Weapon E.S.P, LoGun and Nack (in that order) coming in and just delivering headshots with their bars. It’s a beautiful thing, because every emcee EATS on the track and with this calibre of lyricists in the same place at the same time just SPITTING…… that’s what makes this one of the dopest joints of 2021.
Don’t sleep on Genosha Records and the talented crew that is running things over there. Be sure to circle the calendar for May 11, when the full album Mr. Automatic featuring ‘Bane’s Physical Frame‘ and ‘Bullesye Scores‘ drops.
