Nowaah The Flood & Stu Bangas - Respectfully album cover

Let’s start the review off by saying that Stu Bangas is probably the best producer in the game right now. Guy is killing it with his recent collabs with artist lately and this right here, is no different. With Nowaah the Flood setting the mic on fire  and Stu banging those pads on his legendary Akai MPC 2000X,L this was always gonna slap and it slaps harder than a pissed off parent ready to tan some poor fools butt cheeks. Respectfully is a perfect blend of  hardcore and flava and I don’t mean on separate tracks, I mean, hard drums with soulful vibes! Then, there are ones that are hard-core and of course chill minimal soulful vibes too. Album has it all, from one end of the equilibrium to the centre point.

Nowaah The Flood & Stu Bangas - Respectfully Back cover

In Danger is one of my favourite tracks right now, s**t bangs. Those drums are sick. Nowaah does this beat real justice. Don’t do it features Ca$ablanca and is some raw street, hit the concrete track. Pure eminence is a nice layer back minimal jazzy track, even though I’m not a huge minimalist fan but more so when its whole projects, that is a snooze fest! But the occasional tune chops up the diversity a bit and works well when used correctly. One word for The Vow “WOW”! This track is one of the projects highlights and is just pure lava. Cal fresh changes the vibe up nicely with a chilled tempo. Spike Lee’s is a great way to top off the album and shows how Stu can do more than just makes hardcore beats and Nowaah really rolls it out nicely.

Bangers: In Danger, don’t Do It, Vow, Suckafree, Spike Lee’s

Score: 8.5/10 This is a really good album and glad both artists worked together as it is fire. Only down score is like a lot of projects is, its short, 10 tracks and just under 25 minutes but the content is up there with the best of this year.
