He’s done it again. Flee Lord, over any production, under any alter ego, just drops flames after flames. This time, he’s back at it on his latest joint ‘Alter Ego Fleeigo Delgado’ and he gives us more and more hip hop quotables over quality sonics. The formula doesn’t vary much, which is why we get consistently great content from the Far Rockaway spitter. Solid rhymes, great beat choice, tracks that keep you engaged (in that 2 minute to 3 minute window for the most part) and an album that flows from first track to last.

On this album, we get the same ferocious flow we are accustomed to. Flee always brings that energy with his delivery, but not at the expense of the overall song. He rides beats, doesn’t dominate them, and that’s what give us that quality hip hop. Adlibs are kept to a minimum too, as are features on this one which is nice – particularly when the release is just 10 tracks and 23 minutes long. You can’t share the mic or spotlight with too many during that time without losing the purpose of your album – and Flee Lord nails this as well.

Is it groundbreaking? No, it stays in the pocket of delivering interesting, well compiled hip hop. It’s interesting enough to spin multiple times, some tracks just hit you right in the chest and you stank-face and head nod like you’re at a private studio session with the speakers on LOUD.

Bangers: Funeral Home, Lord Family, Da Rock to da Bridge.

Score: 8 / 10. It’s a really good release and reviewing the album for what it is and not comparing it to some of his, and other artists releases, then it should be around the 7.5 – 8 mark. I went heavy, but I’m really feeling it.
