Ok. Well ‘Legacy Driven‘ is actually the latest track, but I didn’t see enough noise made when the Massachusetts emcee dropped a politically driven, social commentary track called ‘White House‘, so in the interest of impact and efficiency, I’m spitting facts on both of them in the one joint! REKS has now dropped two tracks from the upcoming T.H.I.N.G.S (The Hunger Inside Never Gets Satisfied) album and it’s clear that the underground and somewhat underrated emcee has his legacy (and his people) at the front of mind. Check out both tracks below as a nice little entree for what is sure to be a ‘filet mignon’ of a main course!

White House
This joint is timely in subject matter and clearly something REKS wanted to address in his own way – through clever and poignant lyrics over a haunting, yet anthem-esque soundtrack. It’s got that Ali running along the streets of Africa vibe – which marries the message brilliantly. At only just 2 mins, it makes an impact and there isn’t a wasted world. You can’t help but feel this one.

Legacy Driven

It’s all about what you leave behind, what you’re able to carve out and create. There is no doubt that 2020 is going to be remembered as a defining moment in time and REKS comes through, with that quarantine flow, to address it. His track will serve as a small time capsule and it’s delivered brilliantly. Peep it.
