Elzhi -Seven times up eight Times Down album cover

Elzhi, the Detroit native and ex Slum Village member drops 2 tracks from his up and coming album ‘Seven Times Up, Eight Times Down’and the first one ‘Jason’ is something a bit different than his usual flava but it is still fire. It’s borderline horrorcore and with his clever wordplay it feels much more than horrorcore, with a touch of Detroit flava. Probably Elzhi’s hardest track ever and it’s HARD so if your a fan of hard-core bangers and also a fan of Elzhi’s more laid back smooth style but would love to hear a mash up of the two the this is for you trust me.

The second release is ‘Light One Write one’ and damn Elzhi goes the hell in with the lyrical fitness and the beat is your typical motor city, slum village, Elzhi type beat and it shows how good he is on the mic. You can’t talk about the likes of Royce, Black Thought, Monch without dropping Elzhi’s name as he’s just as good and is one of the best spitters.

Seven Times Up, Eight Times Down is due for release 25th September so stay locked to RSHH for the full review. We got the social sauce so follow us on Facebook and Twitter
