PettiKash is his name, but there is nothing small-change about the Australian emcee. Born in Zimbabwe, PettiKash moved to Australia in 2003 where he has been carving and creating ever since. The hard working emcee has credited guys like Nas, Biggie, Pac, DMX & Jay Z as influences and if you’re an artist trying to make a name for yourself in the culture, those are some pretty good shoes to try walk in.

A tumultuous past lead to a stint in jail, where he used the time to better himself and write rhymes every day. Since moving to Melbourne to escape some of the wrong influences in life, he has honed in on making a career rapping. He’s released five singles, and has supported MadChild, Swollen Members, Dj Unk, Cali Swag District, Dizzy Wright, Merkules, Swifty McVay and Obie Trice. Pretty solid names there – and PettiKash is determined to make one of his own.

The emcee is not just focused on making it himself though. He has also created Kash Empire Entertainment, his own label which he aims to use as a vehicle to help troubled and disengaged youth and to unite people and communities through art and music. Reach one and teach one – that’s real.

The latest track ‘Profit’ (released June 18) is a well crafted song, produced by Freek Van Workum which certainly isn’t out of place with some of the other hit singles from more established artists. Kash flows effortlessly, and puts another spin on the hustle & grind to make that money, but ultimately to succeed and achieve. Knowing the work PettiKash puts in, this could be seen as somewhat of a ‘Hustler’s Anthem’ for him, the Kash Empire crew and anyone else looking for that motivation to make something of themselves.

Check out the track below and get ready to nod your head and make that stank face to this one, not to mention his other releases. You can also stay up to date and learn about the Melbourne emcee via the social deets below:
