Sutter Kain x Donnike Darko Life Lessons

The dynamic duo of dark, hard hitting boom bap Sutter Kain & Donnie Darko are back, dropping six tracks of fire on unsuspecting heads with ‘Life Lessons‘. The prolific underground tandem continue their run of kick ass releases, having already churned out ‘Another Day at the Office‘ and Life Lessons just doesn’t let up. Almost fifteen minutes of full force flames, hitting your headphones with ferocity and making you play this shit back time and time again.

Block Game Pt. 6‘ starts things off with street tales over a really punchy boom bap track with haunting vocals. The vibe is still moody but a little more vibrant on ‘Charles S. Dutton‘ with some braggadocious bars then ‘Dark Dayz Rainy Nights‘ gets back to that dark, introspective concrete poetry with airy keys and synth effect. Naymez joins the party on the fast-paced ‘Late Night‘ which has a more funky infusion that cuts through the grime, as well as on ‘Desperate Measures‘ which does a complete 180 and gets right back to the gutter with ferocious vernacular. The final track is the title track ‘Life Lessons‘ featuring King Brian and completes the listening experience with uplifting drums and keys that serves as a score for the poignant pen game.

Quite simply, you need to get your ears around this project. It’s packed full of clever rhymes and crafty production, and is a high quality offering that you can spin again and again. Check it out and let us know if you dig it!
