It’s always exciting when real OG rappers keep dropping jewels, and with over 30 years in the game, Edo. G has done just that. 2020 hasn’t been short of really quality hip hop, and the Boston emcee just gives us another little gen to add to the collection with the 5 track ‘Lost Treasures EP‘.
As you can imagine, you get quality lyricism and a presence that just controls the mic on every song. The production also has that classic 90’s street feel which works so well with Edo. G’s delivery and flow. ‘THE Mic’ is an interesting change of pace with an 80’s computer game sounding track underpinning the flow.
A couple of features on this joint too – Jayshaun brings it on ‘All These Years‘ while Masta Ace joins the OG on ‘Wishing Original‘. ‘Upper Hand‘ is a catchy, truly old school style track that has the head nodding too.
