A few weeks ago, we reviewed / previewed the latest joint from The Bad Seed – Ceaser Borgia and gave it the props it so richly deserved. But now, that album hasn’t even made it out of the rotation and Seed is already back in our headphones with another banging joint. This time, it’s a short EP as he pairs up with DJ Enyoutee (who also graced this brilliant Starvin B joint) to bring a rock solid jab to the face with ‘Past the Politics‘.

The Bad Seed has never been backward in coming forward, and he uses this EP to continue to voice his concerns around the rap game, the culture and the politics that are involved in the game. And much like the Nas sample used on ‘Way to Live‘, Seed just continues to navigate his own path through the pitfalls and culture vultures that are abound.

Attack‘ has a hard rock riff and equally as fierce lyrics to assist in delivering the message. It’s a compelling listen as he joins forces with NapsNdreds with a familiar, dope AF outcome. ‘Head crack, talk back, verbal attack‘…. it’s a street anthem that needs to be played LOUD. The point The Bad Seed is trying to get across, is slapped in your face in the intro to the final track ‘The Baddest‘. Stop glorifying wack sh!t and supporting weak sauce and show love and support to REAL quality authentic, hip hop. It could be a Raw Side Hip Hop anthem really because it’s EXACTLY what we stand for.

Don’t take my word for it. Go and cop this joint, stream it and run the numbers up. It’s a really dope listen and The Bad Seed x DJ Enyoutee are two of the realest cats out who deserve to be on everybody’s must-listen list.
